Susie Grayce Wilson, age 89, of Sweet Home, died Sunday. She was born in Oxnard, California to Tilden B. Tucker and Susie V. (Elliott) Tucker.
Susie attended school in Oxnard and was involved in sports, earning a letter in tennis. Her interest in exercise continued all her life and she was active into her mid eighties, doing yard work and walking the treadmill.
She married and was later divorced from Harold E. Ranney.
She married W.C. (Chuck) Wilson in 1948. They lived in Ventura, California until 1977, when her doctor advised moving to Oregon after her bout with Melanoma.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jim Walker, of Brownsville; brother, Verne K. Tucker; sister, Jean Bell, of California; granddaughters, Terry Marchbanks, of Brownsville, Carolyn Kreitzberg, of Salem, and Debra Melton, of Alaska; grandsons, James and Michael Ranney, of Fruita Colorado; and seven great-grand children.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Wilson; son, William A. Ranney; brother, T. Emerson Tucker; and sister, Helen E. Hines.
