Steven G. Crocker, 70, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019. He was born in Sweet Home to John F. and Myrtle (Davis) Crocker.

He was a life-long resident of Sweet Home.

Steve’s career in the timber industry was cut short due to a rare and disabling lung disease. He continued as a watchman for many years to be in the woods that he loved.

He was baptized into Christ 17 years ago.

Steve loved fishing and hunting and was extremely good at both He loved going on long rides with his brothers and his best friend, Larry Zook. He was a very good baker. He baked cookies, bread, and pies for every occasion and made candy with his sister, LaVelle, for Christmas.

He is survived by daughter Heather Crocker; sister LaVelle Updegrave; brothers Dale (Shirley) Crocker, Joe (Bev) Crocker, and Perry (Kay) Crocker; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews who were very special to him; and his life-long friend, Larry Zook.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Velma Zook and Viola Ferebee; brothers Alvin and Ray Crocker; and his beloved dog, Ruger.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January4, at River of Life Church, 1658 Long Street, Sweet Home. A light lunch will follow the services.
