Stella Ruland, 81, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, October 4, 2013. She was born in Bonanza to John Travis and Naoma (Maxwell) Heuston.

She lived in Sweet Home and Grants Pass. She was a retired CNA.

Stella was an animal lover and cared for many stray cats. She enjoyed home interior design and refinishing furniture. Stella collected Wolf items.

She is survived by: her brother, Bob Wolfe; son, Dennis Heuston; foster daughter, Gidget Howser; three grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Stella was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Kelsey Ruland; three brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.

Final burial will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
