Stanley Gambetty, 98, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Tuesday, September 27. He was born in Chicago on November 12, 1917; the son of George and Victoria (Todish) Gambetty.

Stan grew up in Potlatch, Idaho. After graduating high school, he moved to Bend. It was there he met and later married Norma Suttle in 1941. They came to Sweet Home in 1946 and lived here since.

Stan worked in lumber mills most of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisher. He enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Gambetty, and son, Frank Gambetty; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, in 1991 and daughter, Barbara Gambetti, in 2016.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for a future date.
