Bruce Burke, 62, of Sweet Home passed away Friday. He was born in Lebanon to Stanley and Doris Belle (Milligan) Burke.

Bruce lived in Sweet Home all of his life. He served in the Army National Guard from 1970 to 1973. Bruce owned Burke Logging from 1983 to present. He always enjoyed being in the woods.

His favorite hobbies were golfing, fishing, and hunting. Bruce loved taking pictures with his 35mm Minolta camera. He enjoyed his labs and loved spending time with his family and going to Cabo San Lucas.

Bruce is survived by: his sons, Aaron and wife Amy Burke, Jeremy Burke, David and wife Michelle Holbrook, Ryan and wife Wendy Holbrook; daughter, Jessica Burke; sister, Karen Arney; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Gary and Larry Peterman.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will take place at 12:00 pm Saturday, April 20, at the Sweet Home Elks Lodge. A potluck will follow.
