Shirleen Adell Claborn
June 3, 1944 – July 31, 2023

Shirleen Adell Claborn, 79, of Sweet Home passed away Monday, July 31, 2023. She was born on June 3, 1944 in Lebanon to William D. and Frances (Hamilton) Keeney.

She has lived in Sweet Home, Oregon City, Pomeroy, Washington, and Holley.

Shirleen worked as a bus driver for Sweet Home School District, at a molding plant in Holley and at Holley Market. She was in the Red Hat Club and enjoyed riding horses. She collected rocks and stamps. She loved to travel to new places with her husband.

She is survived by her children: Melvin “Gene” Claborn Jr. and David Claborn; brother, Bill Keeney, all of Sweet Home; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Melvin G Claborn Sr. (2023).

Memorial service will be 3 pm Saturday August 12th at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Burials of both Shirleen and Melvin’s urns will follow with military honors for Melvin at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
