Ruth Esther Coyer, 87, of Sweet Home passed away Monday. She was born in Bliss, New York to Rupert and Mary (Barnhardt) Woodworth.

Ruth met Malcolm Coyer and they were married a year later on March 1, 1947. Originally, they came from upstate New York and later settled in the Blue Ridge Mountains and North Carolina before moving to Dallas, Oregon. They moved to Sweet Home in 1995.

Ruth was a member of the Junction City Church of God Seventh Day Congregation. She enjoyed spending time with her family, as they were the most important thing to her in her life.

Ruth is survived by: her husband, Mack Coyer; daughter, Virginia Pecora of Eugene; sons, Norman Coyer of Oak Ridge and Calvin Coyer of Sweet Home; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
