Rose Marie Schreima, 81, of Corvallis, Oregon passed away Friday, May 26. She was born in Santa Barbara, California to Lester and Viola (Gruewell) Hoffman.

She moved to Salem from California as a child. She eventually moved to Corvallis.

Rose was a cook in a retirement facility. She enjoyed knitting and baking. She would bake cakes for everybody’s birthday.

Rose is survived by her son, Dave Schreima, and his wife, Pat, of Long Beach, California; daughter, Rose, and her husband, Bob Cournaya, of Corvallis; five grandkids; and eleven great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Helmut G. Schreima, in 1981; son, Helmut Jon Schreima, in 2012; and twin sister, Shirley Gladys Chase, in 2013.
