Ronald Eugene Moore, 70, of Crawfordsville, Oregon passed away Wednesday, May 31. He was born in Sweet Home to John F. and LeRetta Jean (Finley) Moore.

Ronald served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968.

He lived in Sweet Home until 1985 when he moved to Hoonah, Alaska to work in the Whitestone Logging Camp. In 1996, he returned to Sweet Home and lived the remainder of his life.

Ronald worked as a timber faller for 15 years in the Sweet Home area until he had a logging accident. He moved to Alaska and started his career as a diesel mechanic from which he is retired.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hard work.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Tana Moore, of Crawfordsville; children (all of Sweet Home) Johnnie Moore of Crawfordsville, Todd Moore, Marc Holcomb, Jr., and Mandi Moore; brother Frank Moore of Sweet Home; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son he lost at birth in 1977.
