Ronald “Ron” Bachmeier, 67, of Lebanon, Oregon passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016. He was born in Fessenden, North Dakota to John J. and Catherine (Mack) Bachmeier.

He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army from January 1970 to September 1971.

Ron moved to Albany from North Dakota in 1959. He lived in Jefferson from 1974 until he moved to Brownsville in 1995. In 2014, he moved to Lebanon.

He worked for Wah-Chang for 40 years until he retired in 2010.

Ron enjoyed camping, boating, and time with his family.

He is surved by his children: Anthony Cole Bachmeier of Lyons, Ronald Reid Bachmeier and his wife, Dustie, of Lebanon; siblings: Doris Furmidge of Burbank, California, Adam, Dan, Rose, Kenneth, John, Richard, Robert, Rene Bachmeier and Mary Farmer of Albany, Rodney Bachmeier of Prineville, Theresa Bachmeier of Baker City; and two grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Mack, in 2001 and his father, John J. Bachmeier, in 2013.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Satruday, March 5, at Riverside Community Center in Albany.
