Robert Donnell, 71, of Foster, Oregon passed away Wednesday, June 1. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Phyllis (Lessey) and Robert Donnell VI. The family moved to California in 1960, and in 1972 he married Carol L. Conger. They moved to the Sweet Home area in 1976.

Robert operated his own company, General Heating and Sheet Metal. He was a member of the Saint Helen’s parish in Sweet Home.

His hobbies included reading and coin collecting. He was a history buff, inventor, and a story teller; “Let me say this about that.” He especially enjoyed getting together for barbecues with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife, Carol; children Lynn Damewood and husband Jeremy, Robert Donnell VI and wife Brittany and four grandchildren; brothers: John of Eugene and Jim and his wife, Heather, of Ventura, California; and sisters Nancy and her husband, Steve, and Betsy of Eugene.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Leslie, and brother, Tommy.
