Robert “Scott” Richards, 72, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born May 1, 1952, to Eldon R. and Doris E. (Dishaw) Richards in Lebanon, Oregon.

He has lived in Sweet Home all of his life. Scott drove dump truck for Cascade Timber Consulting until retirement.

He enjoyed golfing in his younger years. He was a car enthusiast. His favorite hobby of all was watching his daughters and his granddaughter play softball and watching his son wrestle.

Scott is survived by his wife Becky Richards of Sweet Home; children: Shannon Richards, Heather Richards and Tyler Richards all of Sweet Home; siblings: Steve Richards of Tacoma, Washington, Kathy Juric of Priceville, Alabama, Michael Wilkenson of Fethiye, Turkey, Rhonda Beck of Vancouver, Washington, Launa Fry of Sedro-Woolley, Washington, Laura Lewis of Mount Vernon, Washington; step brother Dean Evans of Grants Pass, Oregon; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon Richards and Doris Wilkinson, and brother Mark Smith.
