Robert Ross Smith, 74, of Sweet Home, Oregon died Tuesday, March 12, 2019. He was born in Auburn, Washington to Neal A. and Margaret (Ross) Smith.

He lived all over the country, including Washington, California, Florida, and Hawaii.

Robert served in the United States Navy for 27-1/2 years. After the military, he worked as a truck driver and car salesman. He was a lifetime student and enjoyed target shooting.

Robert is survived by his sons, Neal A. Smith and John P. Smith of Sweet Home, and grandchildren, Stephan Smith, Kern Smith, Chance Smith, Gabriel Smith, John Smith, Cheanna Smith, Kirsten Sorenson, and Kearstin Sorenson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara F. Smith, in 2010.

Burial will take place at Eagle Point National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 23, at Sweet Home VFW.
