Robert “Bobby” Edward Morris Jr., 73, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. He was born in Lebanon to Robert Edward Sr. and Mary Sheila (Grimes) Morris.

Bobby proudly served in the United States Air Force and the Air Force National Guard from November 28, 1967 thru August 15, 1983. He served both as a Sergeant and Staff Sergeant, specializing as an Aircraft Repairman Technician while stationed in Great Falls, Montana.

He was extensively educated during his military service. He then continued his education in business at Linn Benton Community College and the University of Oregon after his Military Service.

Bobby’s love for all things electronic and sharing his knowledge lead him to serve his community working at Wal Mart in the electronics department where he proudly retired.

He enjoyed spending his spare time researching, playing, games, science fiction, writing, spending as much time with his friends and family, and serving his local community center and church.

Beloved by all who knew and loved him for his kind heart and giving spirit. His family and community were his greatest treasures.

Bobby is survived by his children: Robert Edward Morris III, Sheila Marie Morris; siblings: David Morris of Belle Fourche, South Dakota, Susan Steagall of Foster, Debbie Ottre of Gillette, Wyoming, Laurie Deffenbaugh of Sweet Home; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father Robert E. Sr. and Mary Morris; brother John Morris.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday November 18th at Sweet Home Christian Church at 18th and Long.
