Robert Charles Curtis, 30, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday after a brief illness. He was the son of Jack and Helen (Lockhart) Trukositz of Sweet Home and the late Jefferson Curtis of Salem.

Robert loved animals, especially cats, and helped many strays over the years. He was also an avid video game player and loved to read.

Robert is survived by: his parents; brothers, Christopher Wade of Sweet Home, Joshua Marion of Portland, and Joseph Trukositz of Eugene; and two close friends he considered to be brothers, Shawn Lannigan of Salem and Joseph Brewer of Portland.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jefferson Curtis.

A gathering of friends for a potluck in Robert’s honor will take place 5:30 p.m., Friday, February 3, at the Sweet Home Genealogical Society in Sweet Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
