A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 815 5th Avenue, Sweet Home, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Evergreen Hospice, Cancer Society, or St. Helen’s Catholic Church.
Richard “Bugs” Eugene Lemmer, age 70, of Sweet Home passed away Monday. He was born in Burlington, Washington to Eugene Mathew and Therese Marie (Hawkins) Lemmer.
He was in the United States Marine Corps from January 1962 until his honorable discharge in January of 1965. He attended the University of Portland for a time.
Richard married Dorothy L. Evans on September 4, 1965 in Myrtle Point, Oregon.
He was a truck driver in the logging industry for 40 years, and drove truck on the Alaska pipeline.
Richard was a member of the Catholic Church and the Elks. He enjoyed hunting in Alaska and loved gardening and fishing.
He is survived by: his wife, Dorothy; daughter, JoMarie Lemmer; son, Carl, and his wife, Lisa Lemmer; grandsons, Parker, Tristan, and Tyler Lemmer; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 815 5th Avenue, Sweet Home, Oregon.
