Ramona Heeter (Philpott)

Edith Ramona Heeter, 93, of Sweet Home passed away Monday. She was born in Walla Walla, Washington to Justin and Edith (Cross) Philpott.
When Edith was six months old, her family moved to Holley. She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1937. She met George Wesley Heeter and they married in Stevens, Washington in 1939. They lived and raised their three daughters in Holley.
Edith participated in a creative stitchery group and the Holley garden club, and she belonged to the OSU Home Extension Service. She was very talented at anything she tried. She loved nature and spending time outdoors, especially in the Holley area.
Edith is survived by: her daughters, Judy Heeter of Sweet Home, Jean Reynolds of Holley, and Linda Gilkison of Albany; her brother, Tom Philpott of Holley; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, George Heeter, in 2004; granddaughter, Katie Reynolds, in 2003; and sister, Wilma Clarke, in 2012.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to East Linn Museum in Sweet Home.
