Paul Lawrence Dotson, 92, of Sweet Home passed away Monday. He was born in Berryville, Arkansas to Chester Lawrence and Alice Mary (Ruth) Dotson.

Paul has lived in Florida, Oklahoma and California. He has lived in Sweet Home for the last 44 years. Paul owned two businesses, a gas station in Oklahoma and Paul’s Body and Paint Shop in California. He worked for Jack Wright Auto Body Shop for 20 years before retiring.

Paul was a Christian and attended Holley Church. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and anything outdoors.

Paul is survived by his wife, Opal Dotson; children: Shirey Cain, Gary Dotson and George Henderson; sister, Lou Riddle; grandchildren: Timothy Cundiff, Kevin Cundiff, Jamie Fernandez, Dee Dee Cundiff, Curtis Dotson, Tashina Jones, Paul Amaral; great grandchildren: Bambi Morse, Lily Rupp, Ricky Briseno III, Talia Fernandez, Alex Fernandez, Michael Jones, Charlie and Steven Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, LeRoy Henderson and brother, Howard Dotson.

Viewing will be 12 – 12:45 pm Monday January 3rd at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Private burial will take place at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com
