Orletta Lee Gibbs, 86, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was born July 6, 1938, to Orville and Josephine (Webber) Nye in Foster, Oregon.

She grew up in Foster and attended Foster Elementary School thru 8th grade and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1957. Orletta married Bill Trask they had four children. She went to cosmetology school in Albany and worked at different shops in Sweet Home. She was also a bar tender and enjoyed both of her jobs. In 1971 Bill and Orletta got divorced and in 1972 she married David Gibbs together they had one child.

Orletta loved her yard she would go outside and work in it everyday. She liked to hunt and camp with her family. She had lots of animals and enjoyed them all. She was a life member of the VFW and Elkettes for many years.

She is survived by her husband David Gibbs; her children Dennis (Kathy) Trask, Terry Gibbs, Diana (Gary) Bondesen, David Gibbs; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Robert Trask; her parents Orville and Josephine Nye; sister Melva Gregory.
