Orel Ronald Moore, 82, of Sweet Home passed away Friday, October 4, 2024. He was born April 20, 1942, to Orel Robert and Luella (Williams) Moore in Oakland, California.

After graduating from Myrtle Creek High School in 1960, he began his career in a sawmill throughout the 1970’s. An accident left him unable to work in such physically strenuous jobs, causing him to shift focus toward buying, remodeling and selling trailer homes. He owned Heirloom Gold Nugget Company from 1985 to 1987 and the General Home Security Company from 1987 to 1998. In 2001, he patent the Super Grip Lock which is sold all over the world.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening and traveling the United States.

Ron is survived by his children: Melissa Pelcher, Robert Moore, Marci Talbert, Victoria Whiteman; sister Deborah Dove; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his partner Marleen. He is preceded in death by his wife Melinda Arlene Moore (2023)
