June Giegl, 96, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday. She was born in La Grande, Oregon the oldest of four and last surviving child of Jesse P. and Grace Darling (Ball) Whittenberg.

She was a member of the Seventh day Adventist Church. She loved music, singing, and playing the organ. She also enjoyed crocheting.

June is survived by: her husband, Karl Giegl of Sweet Home; daughter, Mary June Jones of Ocean Shores, Washington; step-daughters, Christine Valentini and Annelie Hugli of Ontario, Canada, Kymberly Giegl of Sweet Home; and their families, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynette French.

A viewing will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 27, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 4:00 pm Saturday, November 27, also at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
