Norman Ray Suiter, 75, of Sweet Home passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. Norm was born in Eugene to Ray and Greta Dawn (Condart) Suiter. His family moved to Brookings in 1952 where Norm graduated from Brookings Harbor High School. While still in school, at age 16, he pursued a job in radio broadcasting and his first job was at KURY radio. He was very active in the community. He went on and worked at other radio stations around the state and also did play by play for many high school and college games. Norm loved sports and gardening and he loved telling jokes, his face would light up and it would make you smile. He was a very devoted Christian and loved being involved with all activities of the Crabtree Christian Church.

Norman is survived by his wife Mary of Sweet Home; Children: Anna and Rod Squires of Willow Creek, CA., Robert and Christi of Hayward, CA, Lynette and Scott Johnson of Fairfield, CA. Ron and Teri of Colville, WA, Aaron and Cat of Lake Stevens, WA, Tammy Suiter and Tim O’Neil of Alsea, and Sherry Callagan and Glen Sneed of Lebanon, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters: Nancy Ruebush of Brookings, Peggy and Dale Turpin of Reedsport, Judy and Mick Ames of Turner, Eva and Randy Canoy of Salem; brother Russ and Rhonda of Brookings.

Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Crabtree Christian Church 37650 Crabtree Dr. Crabtree Or. 97335. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Helping Hands and Doernbecher’s or Crabtree Christian Church.
