Norma Pauline Kaping, 89, of Sweet Home, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. She was born September 18, 1935 to Irene Dotson and Richard Sills in Baker, Oregon.

She has lived in Sweet Home since 2000. Norma was a nurse and a cook. She adored raising her children. She enjoyed sewing and liked to fix things to make them look nice.

Norma is survived by her children: Vickie C. Howard of Sweet Home, Victor Schlung of Florida, Henry Schlung of Eugene, Peggy Williams of Redmond, Janie Lengel of Christmas Valley, Opal Denton of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Delbert Kaping, and son Dennis Schlung.
