Norma Jean Barnhart, 70, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Eugene, Oregon to Earl and Ellen (Bodholt) McFarland
She married Dennis Barnhart on February 27, 2001.
Norma spent her whole life in the Willamette Valley; moving to Sweet Home in 2001.
She loved riding her bike, visiting Oceanside, baking cookies, square dancing, and going on walks. Most people knew her passion to be sewing and quilting because she touched so many lives with her amazing talent that was second to none. Sewing was not only her passion, but it was also her calling. She spent uncountable hours sewing for the less fortunate through ministry work. Her pure heart, wholesome love for all she met, her silly spirit and quirky mischievous smile will be missed my many.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Barnhart; step-father Robert Barthel; daughters Kezia Brodie, D’nie Woods, and Malea (Ryan) Stutzman; son Jason (Rachael) Whitehead; stepson Matthew (Kristin) Barnhart; step-daughter Rhianda Barnhart (Gilbert); sisters Marilyn (Jim) Aird and Kathy McAlexander; brothers Mike (Connie) McFarland, Ron (Linda) McFarland, and Ken McFarland; fifteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
