Myrtle E. Golly, 89, of Sweet Home passed away in Bend September 15, 2012. She was born in Lebanon, Oregon to LeRoy T. and Bessie (Clark) Lewis.

Myrtle loved to live the pioneer lifestyle by gardening and canning her harvest. She raised four children while moving around the country with her husband who served in the military.

Myrtle is survived by: her children, Nathan Golly of Bend, Steven Golly of the Marshall Islands, and Susan Laufer of Honolulu; brothers, Tom Lewis of Petersburg, Alaska and Dennis Lewis of Sweet Home; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Dale Golly; daughter, Kathryn Golly; and sister, Irene Parker.

A memorial service will be at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
