Monte Kim Allen, 71, of Sweet Home, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025. He was born September 17, 1954 to Dora Della (Baker) and George Alvin Allen in Biloxi, Mississippi.

He moved to Sweet Home in 1992. Monte worked as a prep cook at the Buzz Saw Restaurant in Albany for many years. He liked to collect coins, enjoyed old cars and liked to go fishing. He was a member of the American Legion.

Monte is survived by his brothers: Mike Allen of Palmer, Alaska, Ernie Allen of Corvallis, Oregon and Monica Rogers of Albany, Oregon. He is preceded in death by his parents: Dora Della Allen (2022), George Alvin Allen (1989).
