Michele Irene Andersen, 36, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, August 6, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Seattle, Washington to Eric Martinus and Suzette Cheryl (Oedewaldt) Andersen.

She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2002. She also attended Linn-Benton Community College.

Michele was a dedicated, loving, and compassionate woman that cared for everyone she met. Many will remember her as a beautiful spirit.

She enjoyed going to sports practice with her son and socializing. She enjoyed her career at Oregon State University where she had many fond things to say about all of her work friends.

Michele is survived by her son, Anthony Andersen, 15 years old; parents Eric and Suzette Andersen of Sweet Home; sisters Ashley Andersen Murphy and Elizabeth Andersen of Sweet Home.

Private funeral services will be held by her family and friends at a later date. She will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered at sea by her family.
