Michael W. Northern, 20, of Sweet Home, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025. He was born April 7, 2005 to Nicole Schrick and James Northern in Albany, Oregon.

He graduated from McNary High School. He attended Chemeketa Community College in Salem. Most recently he was going to truck driving school and about to get his CDL.

Michael enjoyed tinkering with electronic and automotive machinery. He liked playing Dungeon and Dragons and magic the gathering card game.

He is survived by his father, James Northern of Sweet Home, mother Nicole Schrick of Lebanon; brother Ryan Schrick of Sweet Home, sister Veronica Schrick of Salem; aunt Robbie Blevins, uncle Rocky Morse, uncle Andy Schrick, and grandma Coleen Schrick. He is preceded in death by his grandpa Robert Schrick who passed on the same day as he did.

Memorial service will be 1 pm Tuesday September 30th at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel followed by a niche placement at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
