Michael Kent Prichard, 71, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018. He was born in Salem to William and Kora (Lee) Prichard. He was raised in Lyons, and then settled in Sweet Home in the mid 1970s.

Michael served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged September 3, 1969.

He worked for Willamette Industry and drove semi truck. He retired from Milky Way.

Michael loved to grow a garden and spend time with his grandchildren. He liked to take his dog, Max, for walks.

He is survived by sons Michael Scott Prichard of Jefferson, Shayne Prichard of Hillsboro, and Shawn Prichard of Virginia; daughters Trina Fry of Sweet Home; brothers William Prichard and family, Pete Prichard and family, amd Rob Prichard and family; sister Marge Phillips and family; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, William and Kora Prichard, and brother, Larry Prichard.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, at Bilyeu Den Cemetery; 42700 Camp Morrison Drive, Scio, Oregon 97374. A potluck will follow at the farm house in Lyons.
