Michael Anthony Neill, 70, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, August 31. He was born in San Rafael, California to Marvin and Imogene Esther (Wootos) Neill.

In his early years, he lived in Sacramento, California. He later moved to Oregon and graduated from Lebanon High School. He lived in Sweet Home the remainder of his life.

Michael worked at Champion Mill in Lebanon and Willamette Industries in Foster for a total of 35 years. He was a member of Riverside Christian Church in Sweet Home.

He enjoyed walking on the beach, crabbing in Waldport, watching WWF wrestling, making jewelry, and picnicking, especially at Foster Lake. He loved spending time with family and friends playing cards and other games. He was a very kind and happy person.

Michael is survived by his wife, Yvonne, of Sweet Home; son Jason Neill of Metolius; step-children Beth Kerwin of Germany, Tina Block and Bonnie Lashley of Albany, Diana Thrall of Reno, Nevada, and John Block of Hilo, Hawaii; siblings John Neill of Arkansas and Larry Neill of Lebanon; several step-siblings; 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Neill and Imogene Hessel, and stepfather Andrew Hessel.

A memorial service will be part of the worship service at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, September 4, at Riverside Christian Church. Family and friends are also welcome to celebrate Mike’s life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, at Riverside Christian Church on Green River Dr.
