Melissa Ann Yates, 34, formerly of Sweet Home, Oregon, currently of Albany, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born in Lebanon to Albert Preston and Deborah Sue (Hayes) Yates.

She lived in Albany and Sweet Home areas during her life.

Melissa was involved in various churches. She loved religion and learning new things. She volunteered at the soup kitchen.

She liked to ride her bike around town. She loved to crochet baby hats for the local hospitals and volunteering when she could.

Melissa is survived by her father, Albert Yates; older sisters Patricia Wilson and Yvonne Kelough; Aunt Peggy Hayes; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah Yates; grandparents Doris and Milford Hayes; and aunts Darlene, Debby, and Sherry.
