Graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, at Miller Cemetery in Scio. Celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Sweet Home VFW.
Mary Louise Clark-Verley-Poitras-Eckles, 86, of Sweet Home passed away Monday. She was born in Foster, Oregon to William and Mary (Rollings) Clark.
She lived in: Southern California; Southern Oregon; Battle Mountain, Nevada; Scio, Oregon; and Sweet Home, Oregon.
Mary worked as: a floor lady at the Stayton Cannery; for a nursing home in California; and as an assayer in Nevada.
She enjoyed crocheting doilies and table cloths. She loved fishing with Orvel, canning when she was younger, and making wonderful maple bars.
Mary is survived by: her daughter, Alice Lewis of Sweet Home; sons, Emery and Jon Verley of Prineville; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husbands, Orvel, Bill, and Frank; son, Tony Verley; sisters, Bessie, Mabel, Hilda, Tina, Ethal, Nancy, Lorean, Elsie, and Nadine; and brothers, Nelson, John, Manuel, and Kenneth.
