Marjorie Gross, 98, former Sweet Home resident, died at Timberwood Court Memory Care in Albany. She was born in LaCenter, Washington to Arthur Herman and Olive (Mallay) Bridge.

She was raised on the family farm with her sister, Estella, and brother, Wayne. She was active in sports and lettered in softball. She graduated from Battleground High School.

Marjorie married her high school sweetheart, Donald Gross, in 1938. They were married 77 years till his death in 2015.

She is survived by her children: Gail and her husband, Gene Gregory, of Sweet Home, Genevieve and her husband, Nick Wright, of Portland, and Glenn and his wife, Susan Gross, of Shingle Springs, California; brother Wayne Bridge of Brinnon, Washington; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A joint internment of Mr. and Mrs. Gross is planned at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland at a later date.
