Marjorie Emeline Cornwell, 91, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, July 22. She was born in Vienna, Missouri to George Loren and Iva Luzena (Albertson) Rider.
She has lived in Missouri, California, and Oregon. She and her husband at one time owned the Ghost Town at Wolf Creek where Gunsmoke was filmed.
Marjorie was an amazing cook. She made the Best fried chicken and venison jerky in the state. She enjoyed swimming and gardening.
Marjorie is survived by granddaughters Jennifer Dawn Cornwell of Portland and Rebecca Renee Kimball of Lebanon; and great-grandsons, Skyler Kimball of Eugene and Riley James Shelton of Lebanon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville George Cornwell, in 2002; daughter Barbara Kimball in 2005; and son Donald Cornwell in 2004.
