Marilyn Sue Donaldson, age 72, died peacefully on February 3, 2015 in Sweet Home, Oregon after a brief struggle with lung cancer.

Marilyn beat breast cancer ten years ago, which strengthened her resolve to live life to its fullest. Her commitment as a mother and grandmother came first and foremost in her life.

Marilyn worked for the Cascade Lumber Mill in Willamina, Oregon and the Forest Service in Bend, Oregon, where she assisted in the debris location and recovery of the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.

Marilyn is survived by: her sister, Darlene; brother, Denis; children, Steve, Shannon, Darel, and Michael, eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wayne Donaldson, who passed away July 5, 2009.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
