Marilyn Ann Watkins, 83, of West Linn, Oregon passed away Monday, March 30, at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City.

Marilyn was born in Sweet Home May 6, 1936, the daughter of Ray Albert and Irene Sarah (McPhearson) Riggs. She moved to Sisters in 1962, then on to Bend in 1967, before moving to the Portland area in 1987, where she lived the rest of her life.

She grew up in a Christian church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Marilyn loved gardening, garage sale shopping, and entertaining her friends with tea parties and get-togethers. She loved spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Leo Richard Watkins; her children, Karen Montoya, Rebecca deLambert, Mardi Morgan, and Jason Watkins—all of the Portland area; brother, Ron Riggs of Foster; sister, Margaret Wineman of Seattle; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jim Riggs in 1999.

A private, family, graveside service will be at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
