Margaret W. “Peggy” Bristow, 96, of Sweet Home passed away Friday. She was born in Oxford, Pennsylvania to Charles Elzey and Rosine Sarah (Buker) Warrington.
She spent her childhood and teenage years growing up between two brothers, Charles and Harvey, playing field hockey, enjoying daily nickel dances during school lunches and spending summers on her grandparent’s farm. Peggy graduated from Sharon Hill High School in 1944.
In 1991, Peggy moved to Sweet Home to be near family. Peggy loved to golf and play bridge at the Senior Center, making friends with all she met. Committing her life to Christ, she loved to find ways to serve family and friends, such as folding bulletins at the Community Chapel and ironing for Roger and Sue Swigart. She will be remembered for her laughter, her love, and her commitment to her family.
Peggy is survived by her son Greg (Sandi) Diehl of Salem; daughters: Karen (Rob) Younger of Sweet Home, Sandi (Steve) Emmert of Salem; nine grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Charles and Harvey.
