Margaret “Peggy” Joan Wagoner, 80, of Crawfordsville, Oregon passed into the arms of Jesus Monday. She was born in Las Vegas to Richard and Nellie Marie (Goodwin) O’Hanlon.
Shortly before her birth, the family relocated to Southern California where Peggy grew up. Peggy graduated from Chaffey High School in 1955 and, a year later, married Harvey Ferguson. From that marriage, Peggy had three daughters: Cynthia Lynn, Kimberly Ann, and Jennifer Rene. The couple later divorced, and Peggy married Mel E. Wagoner, who brought three children into the family: Katherine Joy, Sandra Lynn, and Steven Michael.
In 1975, the family moved to Brownsville. For many years, Peggy worked as the secretary at the Sweet Home Free Methodist Church, now Hillside Fellowship, where she made many lifelong friends that she considered family.
Over the years, Peggy had many hobbies, like hand-made Christmas decor items, sewing and stitchery work, and hosting the County Memories wedding venue with her husband for many years.
Peggy leaves behind her devoted husband, Mel; children Cynthia Lynn, Kimberly Ann, and Jennifer Rene; step-children Katherine Joy, Sandra Lynn, and Steven Michael; 18 grandchildren; 24 (with two on the way) great-grandchildren. She loved and supported her entire family every day.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
At Peggy’s request, there will be no services.
