Lyle Rex Burnham, 75, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday. He was born in Wood, South Dakota to Lyle Rex and Alta Elsie (Manke) Burnham.

He served in the United States Army in Korea.

Lyle worked as a millwright for Boise Cascade for 25 years, until he retired in 1985. He and his wife, Lena, worked together as camp hosts for the Forest Service from 1999 to 2007.

He loved fishing and riding quads.

Lyle is survived by: his wife, Lena of Sweet Home; sister, Sylvia Boaz of Brooks and nephew, Darrell Kuenzi of Stayton.

At Lyle’s request, no services are planned. At a later date, final burial will take place at Willamette National Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
