Louise Seely Smith of Brownsville Oregon was born on Sep 6, 1942 in Moroni Utah and raised in Mount Pleasant Utah.  She died on Dec 28, 2023 of natural causes. She lived a full and productive life, despite the many physical challenges she experienced from birth. Throughout her life, she was a family historian, genealogist, master storyteller and a genuine great person to talk to. Everyone that knew her loved her and could feel her great love in return.

Louise married Edward Lee Smith on June 17, 1967 in Granger, Utah. They made their home in Brownsville, Oregon and lived a very happy life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Frank Seely, her mother, Mina Merelda Jones Anderson Seely, her husband Edward Lee Smith and numerous step-siblings including Don Levi Anderson, Rae Marvilla Anderson Christensen, Jay Jones Anderson, Agusta Bea Anderson Wright, Joann Anderson Dyer, Donald Frank Seely, Wilma Betty Seely Coombs, Burt Seely, Catherine Seely Guymon, Eugene Seely and Bell Seely (died in infancy). She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise spent the last few years of her life in the capable care of Avamere Rehab of Lebanon. The family wishes to express appreciation for their loving care of Louise over the last several years.

Her funeral will be at 11:00 am Friday January 5th 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brownsville.  Final burial will follow at Brownsville Pioneer Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.  www.sweethomefuneral.com.
