Loretta Sherman, 98, of Crawfordsville passed away on Friday. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi to Dave and Alberta (Davis) Smithey.

She was raised in Tyronza, Arkansas. She lived her married life in Louisiana.

She is survived by: daughters, Helen Hilliard of Sweet Home and Susie Gilcrest of LaMarque, Texas; grandsons, Ernest Thiboduex and Robert Hillard of Sweet Home; sisters, Ruby Fildbumas of Illinois and Dessie Hoffman of New Jersey; brothers, Roy Smithey, J.B. Smithey, both of Arkansas, and Lonnie Smithey of St Louis, Missouri; great grandsons, Jeffrey McNees and Patrick McNees of Sweet Home; and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at Calvary Baptist Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
