LaVera Mae (Brown) Anderson, 94, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, March 7. She was born in Portland to Jess and Beatrice (Berglund) Brown.

Her favorite hobbies were fishing, sewing, quilting, reading, word search, and plastic canvas.

She was a member of Sweet Home Evangelical Church for over 60 years.

LaVera is survived by her children: Wayne Anderson (Diana), Kim Dixon (Larry), Arnie Anderson (Kay), Karie Tyler (Gerald); sister Judy Schmidt; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jerald Anderson, in 2009; sister Jackie DeBord; and brothers Charley Brown and Jess Brown.

Viewing will be from 10:00–10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 15, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Final burial will be at Lewis Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in LaVera’s name to Lumina Hospice or Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
