Larry Max Kent, 69, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Monday, December 2, 2019. He was born in Lebanon to Harold Max and Sheila Jean (Bailey) Kent.

He grew up in Sweet Home and moved to Gates for a short time in his 20s, only to return to Sweet Home, where he loved.

Larry worked in the timber industry most of his adult life driving log truck and, in his latter years, a tow truck.

His cat, Newby, was his greatest joy, but he also loved playing cards with family and friends.

Larry is survived by his mother, Sheila Kent, of Sweet Home; son Shawn and wife Cory Kent of Dallas; sisters Jan Collins of Bend, Sandra Allen of Carrollton, Texas; and brother Duane Kent of Sweet Home; grandchildren Andrew and Tianna; great grandchild Eloise; many nieces and nephews he loved dearly; and his special “angel,” Helen, of Sweet Home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Max Kent, in 2005 and brothers, Gary in 2003 and Raymond in 2014.
