Larry A. Hinton, 77, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, April 18. He was born in Sweet Home to Royce and Katherine (Galster) Hinton.

Larry was born, raised, and lived in Sweet Home area his entire life. He was a member of the Fir Lawn Lutheran Church. He went to school for electrical engineering, but he chose to work in the lumber industry at logging and plywood mills.

He owned his own Cessna 150 and enjoyed flying. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, working around his home, and going south for the winter.

Larry is survived by: his wife, Jane E. Burris Murphy Hinton; son, Larry Lee Hinton; four step-children; grandchildren, Chad, Katie, and Shaun Schuster; nine step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Royce and Katie Hinton, and daughter, Carrie Hinton Schuster (2010).

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 3, at the Fir Lawn Lutheran Church in Sweet Home.
