Kirk Lee Northern, 33, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rick and Gina (Behunin) Northern.

He moved to Sweet Home about two years ago. He resided with his father and step-mother for 15 years.

Kirk was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was service-oriented and very kind and giving.

He loved tubing, fishing, camping, jet skiing, and visiting Las Vegas.

Kirk is survived by: his father and step-mother, Rick and Elizabeth Northern of Sweet Home; mother Gina Yingling of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers Cody James and Keith Adam Northern of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Daniel Sanchez of Sweet Home, and Joseph Sanchez of Glendale, Arizona; sisters Alicia Sanchez of Sweet Home and Amanda Sanchez of Sacramento, California; grandmother and grandfather Delbert and Virginia Northern.

He was preceded in death by: his uncles, Lonnie Ray Northern and Ivan Groshong; grandfather Joseph; and cousins Cathy and LeAnn.

Viewing will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
