Kevin Ray Porter, 49, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, October 16. He was born in Bend to Larry Ray and Catherine Elaine (Denman) Porter.

He graduated from West Albany High School. He loved people. He loved “Monkey,” his cat that he had for 18 years. He new the Bible and loved to read. In years past, he attended Brownsville Christian Church.

Kevin is survived by his son, John Ray Porter of Albany; parents Larry Ray and Catherine Elaine Porter of Sweet Home; brother Kelly Lee Porter of La Pine; sister Kari Ann Hatfield of La Pine; uncle Richard Newman of Bend; andnephew Chase porter of Bend.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Roger Dale Porter, for whom he was a caretaker, and his grandparents.
