Kenneth “Ken” Robert Johnston, 59, of Sweet Home passed away Friday January 13, 2017. He was born on January 28, 1957 in Medford the son of Robert S. and Donna R. (Spencer) Johnston.
He grew up in Medford. Kenneth served in the United States Army from 1976 to 1979. After his time in the service, he moved to Eugene where he lived until moving to Sweet Home in 2006.
Ken worked for Sherman Bros./Team Transport for 28 years. Earning many safety awards and he was part of the Million Mile Club. He belong to the PNW4WDA since 1995. He loved 4-wheeling and building Jeeps. He loved being with his family, especially his kids. He would only do things if his family could do them with him. He loved animals of all kinds.
Ken is survived by his wife of 36 years: Venessa of Sweet Home; children: Jasmine and Shane of Sweet Home, Angelique of Eugene, Geoffrey of Albany, Jamine of Salem; mother: Donna Cline of Phoenix; sisters: Gale Wilson of Central Point and Sharon Vann of Fountain, Colorado; brother: Gene Normand of Phoenix; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Robert S. Johnston (1957); grandparents: Ruth and Clifford “Curly” Johnston.
