Kathy Cook, 45, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday. She was born in Monett, Missouri to Hugh Marvin and Wynona Jean (Burkhart) Gorman.

Kathy moved to Topeka, Kansas and also lived in Butler, Missouri before moving to Sweet Home in 2004. She loved the Lord and loved to be with her horses and enjoyed riding them.

Kathy is survived by: her husband, Shawn Cook of Sweet Home; mother, Jean House of Shell Knob, Missouri; son, Bryce Gorman of Sweet Home; step-son, Cody Cook of Kansas City; step-daughter, Tiffany McCalla of Kansas City; brothers, Robert Gorman of Pueblo, Colorado, Tommy Gorman of Joplin, Missouri, Mike Gorman of Shell Knob, Missouri, and John Gorman of Wheaton, Missouri; sisters, Connie Wilmers of Joplin, Missouri and Janice Rickle of Lone Jack, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father, H. Marvin Gorman.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, October 8, 2012 at Sweet Home Mennonite Church. Final burial will follow at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home, Oregon.
