Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Karen Marie Davis, returned to live with her Heavenly Parents on the evening of Sunday, May 19th, with family by her side.

Karen was born in Jerome, Idaho in 1953 to Harold E. and Marvilla M.(Newman) Guse. Her family moved to Oregon when she was only a few months old. Karen lived in Parkdale, Hood River, Monroe, and the Coburg area.

She helped with household chores beginning at an early age, and worked in the fields and orchards wherever her family was living. Karen was an excellent student and enjoyed playing trombone for 13 years and loved outdoor activities such as sledding and biking.

Karen met her future husband, Daniel, at a church dance. They were married in 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. Over their 51 year marriage, they had nine children, and 26 grandchildren. Karen and Dan lived in Roseburg, Lebanon, and Coquille before moving to Albany in 1980.

Active throughout her life in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she also volunteered for many years at Sunrise Elementary and worked as a registration clerk at LBCC. Karen was excellent at sewing and knitting, and enjoyed other crafts, reading, puzzles, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
