June Nelson, 83, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was born in Maple Bay, Minnesota to Louis Peter Hanson and Julia Pauline (Hansen) Robbins.

She moved to Sweet Home with her husband and children from Two Harbors, Minnesota in 1968. She worked as a state caregiver.

June married Ernest A. Nelson on August 31, 1950 in Erskine, Minnesota.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids and taking them to Wal-Mart. She also enjoyed getting together for the holidays and special occasions when all her children could be together.

June is survived by her husband, Ernest A. Nelson; sons Wayne, Vernon (Linda) and Eugene (Sherry); daughters Wanda Nelson (Blake), Connie Moyer (Will), and Bonnie Nelson Mason, all of Sweet Home, and Rhonda Nelson (Richard) of Redmond; sisters Marlys Etherington and family and Valora Blanshan and family of Sweet Home and Lebanon; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis P. Hanson; mother Julia P. Robbins; step-father Jay Robbins; brother Richard Hanson; and son-in-law Lance D. Mason.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., April 20, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
